As a record label looking to build long-lasting creative experiences, ownership of intellectual property is of primary importance to us. That is why we are pleased to announce that we have secured the Reverse Records name and logo as trade marks across the 27 European Union countries, the United States and the United Kingdom.
At Reverse Records we are committed to revolutionizing music experiences for music fans across the globe. One important pillar of that vision is to establish a fair legal and business ecosystem for the usability and reusability of the Intellectual Property we create. This includes giving music fans the ability to easily cover, remix and recreate our songs, letting our audience use our creative output in derivative works in a fair system, and embracing the fact that creativity is the most fun when we are all participating in the artistic process together – like a group of friends sitting around the fire, writing and playing songs together.
An important requirement of that dream is making sure our own IP is firmly in our hands to ensure we are equipped to build the open, creative future we envision: and the first step on that journey is securing the IP of Reverse Records itself. That is why we are delighted to announce we have finished the registration process for the Reverse Records name and our vinyl R logo as trade marks across all the 27 countries in the European Union, the United States and the United Kingdom.
