We’ve been hard at work shaping the vision and milestones for Platform X, and while we’ve had great feedback so far from friends and acquaintances in the music industry as well as our global survey, we want to widen our reach. Read on and drop us a line!
The key purpose of our platform is to find a perfect point of inflection between helping musicians make money and long-term connections, and helping fans enjoy deeper musical experiences while directly supporting their favorite artists.
Of course, we have a lot of information about the needs of the fans, thanks in part to our music habits survey, direct outreach and a wealth of research – but we feel we can gain more insights from the artists out there. We’ve had multiple anecdotal chats with people in the industry, from gig musicians through composers, one-man-bands and recording engineers (as well as having a musician as a founder) but we’d like to broaden our reach even more. We will also be actively reaching out to select artists ourselves over the next few months, starting with those we believe have the most to gain from our platform.
We think this is crucial to the success of our platform – as well as realizing our mission – as we genuinely believe that giving musicians a voice and a direct line of feedback towards our product’s development is the right way to build the best possible platform. We intend to carry this approach forward not just in the initial development phase, but after launch as well, when we will iterate and build features continuously, fueled by feedback from our artists.
To that end, we invite any currently active musicians or industry professionals to reach out to us at loading... or any of our other media accounts on the contact page. For such a platform, artists with an already-established fanbase is crucial, so we are prioritizing those chats, but we’re equally happy to talk to anyone from the music industry, regardless of the amount of their fans! We will then invite you to a short call where we would have an open conversation about your needs and expectations from a platform like this, as well as answer any questions you might have. We will also show you some early prototypes of Platform X (maybe even hint at its official name) so you can feast your eyes on something never before seen outside our limited group of friends and advisors!
So if you’re a musician currently struggling to monetize your fanbase, manage your online presence or just curious about what the future of digital music distribution could look like, drop us a line and let’s chat!
